Arundel Music Leadership

I want to thank everyone who came to the Gala Tribute for Dr. Phill Butts. I hope everyone enjoyed the show. It took a lot of people to put together this event, and my personal thanks go out to them. Many people have asked about getting photo's and video's of the event. We will attempt to upload all the pictures, and video's in the very near future. Please check this web site for information. Dr. Butts was moved by all the awards, and accolades placed upon him. Although their were many things that touched his heart that day, he told me that seeing all the drum majors was one of the highlights of the day. The photograph of Dr. Butts is now currently hanging over the double doors to the newly dedicated "Dr. Phillip L. Butts Music Wing".

If you were are unable to attend the event, but wish to honor Dr. Butts, contributions to his favorite charity are being accepted. He has requested that “no gifts” should be for him, but instead they should be for the future students in the Arundel High School musical program. “Dollars for Music”, which is our internal fund raising charity, was set up several years ago to allow money to be collected for the sole purpose of purchasing new instruments for the students to use in their musical endeavors.

Remember that all donations go solely towards the purchase of new musical instruments. I can see no better way to thank/honor Dr. Butts as a music director/teacher.
